"Thank you again for being part of the conference! It’s been such a pleasure working with you, and your contribution truly added immense value to the day. I’m so grateful for all the hard work you put in - not just on Friday, but in the lead-up as well. I know you put a huge amount of energy and thought into your session and it absolutely shone through.
I’ve spent the day reviewing delegate feedback, and I’m thrilled to share the results with you. You scored an impressive 93.85% overall which absolutely brilliant and one of the highest scoring sessions from the whole day! You should be incredibly proud! Congratulations"
Optimus Wellbeing Conference
My neurodiversity training for parents and educators draws on my experience in education, pastoral care, counselling and psychological research to support a deeper understanding of neurodivergent young people. The course explores how we can recognise and celebrate individual differences, strengthen relationships and create more inclusive environments where all young people feel understood, valued and empowered to thrive. Through practical strategies and evidence-informed approaches, participants develop greater confidence in supporting neurodivergent learners’ wellbeing, emotional regulation and personal success.
This training equips parents and educators with the knowledge and confidence to better understand and support young people experiencing eating difficulties and challenges related to body image. Combining psychological research, pastoral expertise and a compassionate, person-centred approach, the course explores risk factors, early identification, supportive conversations and the importance of creating environments where young people feel safe to seek help. Participants develop practical strategies to promote emotional wellbeing, resilience and healthy relationships with food, identity and self-worth.
This self-esteem presentation helps secondary age students explore what shapes their sense of identity, confidence and self-worth. Through evidence-informed activities and discussion, students develop practical strategies to challenge unhelpful self-talk, recognise their strengths, manage comparison and build a healthier relationship with themselves. The session aims to empower young people with the self-awareness, resilience and confidence needed to navigate the challenges of adolescence and thrive both personally and academically.
This session explores the complex world of social media and its influence on young people’s wellbeing, relationships and sense of self. Looking at the good, the bad and the ugly, parents and educators will consider both the benefits and challenges of growing up in a digital age, including connection, creativity, comparison, online pressures and emotional wellbeing. Combining psychological insight with practical strategies, the session aims to empower adults to better understand young people’s online experiences, strengthen communication and support healthier relationships with technology.
This Eat, Move, Sleep workshop helps students understand how the choices they make each day can impact how they feel, think and perform. Through exploring the links between nutrition, physical activity, sleep and mental wellbeing, students develop practical strategies to improve their energy, focus and emotional resilience. The session encourages young people to take ownership of their wellbeing by recognising the small changes that can make a meaningful difference to their everyday lives.
This Managing Anxiety session helps students understand what anxiety is, why we experience it and how we can learn to respond to it in healthier ways. Through exploring the connection between thoughts, feelings and behaviours, students develop practical strategies to manage worry, regulate emotions and build confidence when facing challenges. The session encourages young people to recognise that anxiety is a normal human experience while equipping them with tools to support their wellbeing and feel more in control.
This Driving Awareness workshop helps Sixth Form students explore the realities of driving and the responsibility that comes with being behind the wheel. Moving beyond the practical skills of learning to drive, the session focuses on judgement, decision-making, risk-taking behaviours, peer influence, distractions and the consequences of choices on the road. Students develop greater awareness of how their actions can affect themselves, their passengers and the wider community, supporting them to become safer and more responsible drivers.
